Alas, D.C. is no 'fashion capitol,' BUT one little area has been my saving grace.... Georgetown is my favorite place to shop as it has by far-and-away the best boutiques and stores in the area. I found this great little boutique called Urban Chic the other day and nearly died! It carries over 100 established designers as well as local ones. Highlights are their denim collection, which is one of the best in D.C.! Now for the bad news... it can be expensive, but they have some really unique things, so if you live in the D.C. metro area definitely check them out or visit www.urbanchic-dc.comNote: They have just opened a sister boutique in Maryland called Maple Lane.
