alex grey inspired tattoo

This is a fairly new tattoo for me. I started it right went i moved to SF and recently finished it. Yesterday the client came in and let me photograph the piece.
The client gave me an extensive book of reference and wanted to take the approach of an alex grey painting. I dont think that I tattoo anything like Alex Grey paints but i was ready for the challenge either way. I am pretty happy with the results.
