A long-sleeved dress will take you seamlessly from summer into fall. If you want to shorten it a little, like LeToya's, grap any skinny belt you have and hike the dress up. Tighten the belt then let the fold of the top half of the dress cover the belt. Finish the look with a metallic nail lacquer, but avoid something predictable like silver. Bronze or a dark gold will work wonders!

Formal coats are all good and well. They look great and instantly glam up an outfit, but a sista needs to keep warm. I’m not comfortable wearing layers upon layers like Jessica Alba (pictured above), so this winter I’m going to make like Letoya and invest in a huge fur-collared jacket that I can rock with my jeans and ugg boots (are we still wearing those?!) I’m so happy for Corinne Bailey Rae, she’s had a great year and looks fabulous here. The aqua color of her dress really suits her complexion. LeToya Luckett made and appearance at the London based awards which is great because American stars don’t really flock to this particular award show, but support has been growing. Joy Bryant was present to honor the “Women In Hollywood” sponsored by Premiere magazine. This year they honored Cate Blanchett, Annette Bening, Sofia Coppola, Sally Field, and Evan Rachel Wood. And last but not least Vanessa Williams of Soul Food (the TV series) is looking the best I’ve seen her in a long time. LOVE THE HAIR!

LeToya's debut, self-titled album dropped yesterday and to celebrate she had an in-store signing at J&R Music and Computer World in New York.... I'm happy things are working out well for her after all the drama that was Destiny's Child! Mya is also making moves to release her fourth album 'Liberation' and her first single 'Ayo' is now playing on the radio. Wonder what rock she's been hiding under these last 3 years? Both look amazing in the pics above, hope their respective albums sell truck loads and then some!!

I'm a little late, but better later late then never! The BET Awards '06 took place last Tuesday, 27th June and for the most part everyone looked great although it seemed a few people were looking into 'fun-house' mirrors before they left the house (Tocorra?) Notables for me were Kelly, Kelis (loved the uniqueness of her dress) and Rhianna. Looks like Leopard print was the theme of the night (see above)... all-in-all the stars came out in force!
