Right: Robert Rodriguez, Hand Crochet Tie Front Jacket in White, $319.00 - they're joking right?!
Okay so I did little online 'research' and found these two cute tops from www.revolveclothing.com Yes they're freakin' expensive, but oh so cute! I can't afford them so i'll continue with my weekend pursuit for a ribbon tie top like Kristin Cavalleri's below. Failing that, i'll just buy some ribbon from my local fabric store, wrap it around an existing shirt and call it a day!!

Don't get me wrong, I love heels but sometimes you need a break or maybe you just want to make a style statement - in either case flat shoes are perfect! At an event where most of the ladies will undoubtedly be wearing pumps or sandals it's always interesting to see someone dare to go flat... Flats also make a great alternative to sneakers in the day; above are my picks of the best flat shoes on sale right now.

These are some really cute flats, who says you should only wear heels to feel dressed up? My favorite pair are the ones up top. The Zebra print and ballerina ribbon make this shoe perfect for jeans and skirts and at just $34.99, you really can't go wrong!

Beef Stew
I made this up last night, and I may tweak it at some point, but it was DAMN good, even better the next day.
2 pounds cubed stew meat
1 can family size tomato soup
3 cups water (more or less, whatever your preferred thickness is)
2 tablespoons honey mustard
2 tablespoons crushed garlic (fresh)
6 med. or 5 large potatos (diced)
4 large carrots (cut up)
2 tblsp cilantro
2 tblsp basil
2 tblsp parsley
salt and pepper to taste
In one large pot, combine everything except the meat. bring to a boil, reduce to simmering. While doing this, brown the stew meat over a medium heat (no spices, no oil, nothing, if its good meat it will make its own liquid). You need not worry about it being completely cooked, just browned nicely. Add the stew meat to the boiling soup mix, including all the juices it produces. Cover, simmer for about an hour, or whenever its as thick as you want it and the veggies are cooked. We ate it served with biscuits, and it was damn tasty.

Celebrities are still rocking the Miss Sixty 'Dublin' style jeans even though skinny jeans are all the rage. I have a pair but they're plain, that is they lack any pockets or detailing... I tried in vain to get the cargo style initially (pictured above) but couldn't find them so settled for the slight variation! What I love most about these pants is that I can wear them with pointy boots or flip flops, only problem is they are quite thick so wearing them in the summer can be uncomfortable.
The Well Seasoned Nest
Spruce up your window sill with these adorable Egglings from The Well Seasoned Nest. The egglings are made of white porous ceramic. Plants grow for up to five months in the eggling's and then can be planted in the garden. Egglings come in two sizes (small-$9.00 and large-$19.50), and a variety of flowers and herbs.

This is one of the bags du jour; it's the Chloé Silverado bag which came out in 2004 but is still hot today. Most celebrities have the python skin, medium sized version of this bag but in comes in large too... Prices can run up to $2000, but good ol' ebay has several of these bags on sale for as low as $140!! To find them just do a search on ebay using keyword 'Chloé Silverado bag.'

Unruly hair from the humidity? Tie back your tresses with these romantic bobby pins by Michelle Smith. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina Michelle’s floral motif clips inspire images of porch swings, iced tea and expanses of green lawn. Why leave stray strands when there are clips as cute as these.

I found another dress by Brazilian designer Lila Colzani, for her fashion house Colcci, based in Rio de Janeiro. Worn in the picture by Gisele, the dress is from Colcci's current Spring/Summer collection - and yes it has pockets!!
Note: Designer Narciso Rodriguez is also known for adding pockets to his evening dresses.
Fancy Footwork by Campers
The Spanish company Campers continues to surprise and impress with me with their innovative footwear designs. Their shoes are not only stylish they are - here is the key word - comfortable. I mean the kind of shoes you can spend eight hours a day on - day in and day out. And they are remarkably well made. Since there styling isn't over the top trendy you can wear them (gasp!) two seasons in a row. So stop coveting those 4 inch stilletos and get something you will actually wear!

I'm thinking about buying some cute shorts, but I need to hurry up and get them before summer ends! I love the look; it's classy and unique - I think shorts are more sophisticated than a skirt of the same length. I especially like how you can dress them up or down as demonstrated by the ladies above. Scroll up for where to buy similar shorts…
