Upcoming 2012 Cars Chevrolet Spark Preview With Specification And Prices
First unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show for European release in 2012, the U.S. market can expect to see GM’s newest mini-car, the Upcoming 2012 Cars Chevrolet Spark in dealerships by late 2011. Based on the Chevrolet Beat concept debuted at the 2007 New York Auto Show, the Spark is a tallish 5-door hatchback designed to compete against segment rivals.
Chevrolet Spark Design
The Upcoming 2012 Cars Chevy Spark is based on GM’s Beat concept from 2007, but boasts larger dimensions in every area. It represents real car appeal and gives the appearance of substance, something often lacking from others in the microcar segment. The Spark defines itself with angular lines, large diamond-shaped headlights and a large prominent bow tie on the grille.

Sporting a range of fuel-efficient 1.0 and 1.2-litre petrol engines, with 64bhp and 85bhp respectively, the Spark isn’t exactly going to satisfy a craving for a new hot hatch. However, with engines derived from Vauxhall there are rumours that the 148bhp turbocharged 1.6 from the Corsa SRi could eventually find its way into the Spark to create a warmed over Chevy hatchback.
